LIFE WELL LIVED

Grab a paddleboard or kayak and explore the lake. Hop on a mountain bike and follow the single track as it weaves through beautiful natural terrain with great mountain views. Hike across the ridge to the top of Cline Buttes and enjoy the 360-degree panorama. Head to the Sports Center for a game of pickleball, tennis, basketball, or bocce. Grab your clubs and head to the short course at Thornburgh to hone your skills. Bring the children to the Village Park with climbing walls, play structure, and slides, or pick up a frisbee or soccer ball and join the family for a game of frisbee, or soccer golf. There’s even a park for your dog to play in.

If you are looking to cool off on a hot summer day, Thornburgh’s extensive pool complex will have a family pool, kids’ pool, slides, decks, and hot tubs. If you’re looking to set out on your own, you can swim, paddleboard, or kayak in Lake Thornburgh. On the beach, join in a game of volleyball, or simply sit under an umbrella. For those wishing to tie a fly or cast a hook, the lakes and stream, with its pools and eddies will satisfy the angler in you.

A UNIQUE VISION

Typically, to save money developers put homes on both sides of the street. This means the homes in the front often block the views of the homes in the back. Half the people have their views blocked by the home in front of, or directly behind them. But not at Thornburgh. Here you won’t have a home across the street blocking your view. Or have a home in your backyard. We designed the entire community to preserve the views from all home sites. To start we put homes only on one side of the street. Then we spread the roads apart and put open space (not another home) behind the homesites, as shown below. This makes Thornburgh completely unique.

HOMES & CABINS

We have taken the same care and attention to detail in designing a portfolio of homes and cabins tailored to each homesite. Our vision has been to combine Thornburgh’s natural beauty with elegant living. Natural elegance is what sets Thornburgh apart allowing owners to fully enjoy Thornburgh’s tremendous view and unique lifestyle. Thornburgh designs have open floor-plans, gourmet kitchens, great rooms with big ceilings, and window walls that open onto expansive outdoor living spaces that include outdoor kitchens, dining areas, and fire pits for evenings by the fire.

WORLD CLASS GOLF

In golf, as with everything else at Thornburgh, we needed to stay true to our guiding principle of combining native beauty and thoughtful design to create a naturally elegant golf course. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw were our natural choice to draw the golf course out of the land. Coore & Crenshaw routed the course, while Whitman, Axland and Cutten are crafting the minimalist design to blend seamlessly into the natural landscape. Expertly carved out of the breathtaking high desert landscape of Central Oregon, with 1000-year-old Juniper trees defining the edges of play, this will be golf at its best. A Tribute to how the game was meant to be played.

Whitman, Axland and Cutten have a combined 90-year’s experience in the design and construction of golf courses, much of it alongside their mentors Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, shaping courses like Sand Hills, Friar’s Head, and Cabot Cliffs. Independently, they’ve forged a reputation for world-class golf with layouts like Cabot Links, Wild Horse, and Sagebrush. Their golf courses climb their way into the rankings; not only in the United States and Canada but into the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World. This is no mere feat, but one that stems from a sincere passion for their craft.

The extensive practice and training facilities will nurture the putting, short game, and driving skills for players of all abilities and ages. The golf clubhouse, which looks upon the 1st, 9th, 10th, and 18th holes, and to the mountains, will include the pro shop, dining room, and locker facilities. Only Thornburgh property owners will have the exclusive opportunity to upgrade to a full Tribute Golf membership.
